The cadaver is lying supine, the trunk always on the left, the median part on the top, and the lateral part on the bottom.
Visible landmarks are:

- The spermatic cord (SC)
- The obturator nerve (ON) discovered after having removed the pectineus muscle
- The inguinal ligament (IL)
- The femoral vein (FV) and artery (FA)
- The femoral nerve (FN)
